RBG Arc Ch.15: Pokémon Tower

Outside of Pokémon Tower Red looks around seriously as Pikachu looks on seriously. As he looks on a pair of figures walk out wearing black uniforms with a large red colored 'R' on their shirts.

            "So how long are we going to keep that old man tied up inside?" One of them asks seriously taking out a cigarette. "I mean I get what we're doing here, but still keeping him here is a bit much."

            "Yeah, but the boss said keep him locked up, and it's best not to go against him when he gets mad."

            "So where'd he go anyway? It's been a while since I've seen him."

            "Went back the Fuchsia City, said he had business to attend to."

            "Really? Maybe it's a girl." He lights his cigarette and smokes it looking out into the city. "I seriously can't wait till we get out of this place."

            "I feel you there."

Red looks on the pair before noticing a figure sneaking up behind him. "Pikachu!" He turns around to find Pikachu walking up to Armaillo nuzzling up against her. "What are you doing here?"

She picks up Pikachu before turning her attention towards Red seriously. "I came because Cubone ran off and I was looking for him."

            "Cubone ran off?"

            "Yeah it's been staring at Pokémon Tower every day, maybe it misses it's mom much more than we thought and now he's headed towards her grave."

            "Into a place also littered with Rocket Agents, we  have to get in there." Red looks on cautiously trying to find an opening into the tower.

            "Um, I think I may know something." Armaillo looks on nervously before escorting Red to the back of the tower, moving a large bush to uncover a hidden entrance. "Here, it's an underground mausoleum for.....dead bodies, most of the actual graves up above are actually empty."

            "No one knows about this?" Red asks confused.

            "Well only a few people in town who work on funeral services, Mr. Fuji showed me when I was assisting him some time ago."

            "Good, this is the perfect entrance, I'll sneak in and look for Cubone and Mr. Fuji and you stand back." Armaillo hesitates before grabbing Red nervously. "What's wrong?"

            "I showed this to someone else before."

            "Who?"

            "That other boy, the one with the Wartortle."

            "Blue? Sorry, but I can't just sit around here I have to go in there." Red looks on and sees Pikachu trying to cheer up Armaillo as the young girl starts to grin. "Okay stay here with Pikachu and I'll go in."

            "But don't you need your Pokémon?"

            "I think he wants to sit around with you for now."

Pikachu looks up at Armaillo before quickly climbing up her leg onto her shoulder. "Well he is a really cute one."

            "See just wait here, I promise I'll be back."

Red opens up the doors and walks inside as Armaillo looks on nervously with Pikachu looking seriously at him.

Red finds himself in a completely dark room filled with an odd mist rolling across the ground. Walking deeper inside he finds small shelves with figures laying on top of them as a he walks further inside.

            "Okay this place isn't completely freaky." He looks on nervously before pulling out a Poke'ball. "Maybe I could use a little light."

In the middle of the mist several figures start shambling around staying hidden underneath the fog and attempting to stay out of sight. As he starts walking further in he notices more and more figures shambling and crawling towards him.

            "Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"

Red tosses out a Poke'ball with Charmeleon popping out of it, as it emerges it shoots out a large blast of flames. The fire cuts through the mist cutting through everything to reveal a large variety of rotting Pokémon corpses.

            "What is this!" Red yells out terrified jumping back alongside Charmeleon as he quickly whips out his Poke'dex. "Please tell me this is something!"

            "No data found."

            "What?"

Charmeleon attempts to hold back the horde terrified of the sight of the corpses and trying to stick away from them. The corpses start marching towards him before an odd sound starts echoing across the area. "Sound identified." The Poke'dex says as the hordes approach.

            "A sound?"

            "Gastly, The Gas Pokémon; This Pokémon is practically invisible and hides away waiting to strike against its prey, despite lacking substance they easily envelop foes."

            "So a Pokémon's behind this? Okay Charmeleon, cut loose and burn them up!"

Charmeleon looks on nervously as the corpses approach before shooting out a blast of flames. As the attacks lands the corpse burns away before a figure jumps out from inside of it.

            "There that has to be it, Charmeleon take out it's hiding spots and we'll force it out of hiding!" Red yells out excitedly with Charmeleon grinning happily.

As the corpses approach Charmeleon burns and slashes through the small horde of corpses as the numbers diminish. After a while the gas along the floor starts flowing into the air forming into a small sphere. A black sphere appears in the middle of the a cloud of gas as a face appears on the sphere as it begins to smile wickedly.

            "So that's a Gastly." Red says seriously. "It's a surprising Pokémon, but maybe that'll be of help to us." He closes his eyes reaching a hand out towards the Gas Pokémon only for it to roar out towards him seemingly enraged by the attempt. "Damn that didn't work."

Charmeleon readies itself for battle stepping in front of its partner, before a blast of water shoots out nearly hitting it.

            "What was that?"

Gastly laughs happily before a pair of figures start appearing in the mist. A humanoid figure appears inside of the fog alongside a shorter figure.

            "No don't tell me."

The larger figure gestures before the smaller figure shoots out a blast of water out at Charmeleon. As the fog clears away Blue stands alongside his Wartortle as Gastly laughs loudly overhead.

            "Well this is going to be a pain." Red says reading himself for battle as Charmeleon starts growling excitedly. "Let's go Charmeleon!"
