Pokémon Special Conquest

RBG Arc Ch.14: The Noble Town

 

After the incident in Vermilion City Red travels around, attempting to find a way to continue his journey but finding multiple roads blocked. He finds his way up through Route Nine and then onto Route 10 traveling through a large rock tunnel towards his next destination. After a while of traveling through the pitch black tunnels Red emerges alongside Pikachu, having been used to illuminate the path, onto the second end of Route ten.

            "Okay everyone we've made it Lavender Town." Red says excitedly.

Red and Pikachu continue on, into a large town with an incredibly large tower taller than any building in the back of town. He looks around curiously before slowly approaching the tower.

            "So that's the Pokémon Tower." Red bows to the tower before walking off. "It's always best to pay respect towards the dead."

As he walks off a figure looks out from one of the higher floors staring down at him with a serious gaze.

 

After wandering the town Red stands in front of a small house nervously approaching the door. Before he can knock on it a young woman opens the door surprising him with her appearance, before she looks down disappointedly.

            "Um is there something wrong?"

            "Sorry I was hoping you were someone else." She puts a cheery grin on her face before opening the door wider and inviting Red inside. "Welcome to the Fuji Volunteer house."

Red enters the home finding a group of people sitting around all with worried looks on their faces. "Why what's going on?"

            "It's nothing, don't worry." She says forcing her grin. "Anyway what can we do for you?"

            "Oh yes, my name is Red Satoshi and I'm here to speak to Mr. Minoru Fuji, I heard from my father that he was a wise person when it came to Pokémon, and I was....." Red stops when he looks at the groups uncomfortable looks when he mentions Mr. Fuji. "Did something happen?"

            "Oh nothing, you see we here are Mr. Fuji's assistants, helping him take care of the Pokémon we keep here. However Mr. Fuji left to take a vacation sometime ago and we're a little over worked is all."

            "Okay..." Red looks unsure of the group as they sit around.

            "Anyway, it's a shame you missed him, but he left some of his notes in his study maybe you can find what you seek there."

            "Really? You'll let me just pock around?"

            "Yes Mr. Fuji was... I mean is a helpful person he's never turned anyone away."

            "Thank you." Red says happily.

The woman leads him to the back of the house into a large room filled with books and papers and a singular desk towards a large window. The view of Pokémon Tower in the distance seemingly taking over the sight from the window.

            "You can help yourself, just be sure to put everything back."

            "Right."

She closes the door as Red enters the room looking through the various papers and books for any clues to his dilemma with Pikachu laying on the desk. "I have to get stronger, Mr. Fuji must know of a way for me to get even stronger."

He looks on a desk to find a file with a large R on the cover. Curious he picks it up looking through it finding papers and letters to difficult for his mind to comprehend before finding one letter in particular.

            Dear Minoru,

                        How're you it is Blaine, and I hate to tell you this, but you were right (as you so often are). They are not what they seemed at first I had originally believed they were going to help them gather the wayward souls displaced in this time of peace and grant them salvation, but I was so wrong.

                        It started with the experiments, it started small theorizing on brining extinct Pokémon back to life and without first success we created the revival machine. But it didn't stop there, the next project was an expedition to some faraway land, that's where they found that eyelash, but it wasn't enough.

                        What they wanted to achieve it wasn't simply bringing this one back, it was to make it stronger. They wanted to make the World's Most Powerful Pokémon, and they've succeeded. They must be stopped the Ro.......

Red looks at the letter seriously before a small figure walks into to room distracting him. "What're you doing here?" They asks curiously.

            "Nothing I was just looking through these files."

Red looks at the figure and sees a young girl with short blond hair in a blue one piece looking up at him with her big brown eyes. "Why're you looking through Uncle Fuji's files?"

            "Uncle Fuji?"

            "Well he's not really my Uncle, but that's what I call him."

            "Well I'm a Warrior and I want to make me and my Pokémon stronger, so I figured that Mr. Fuji would know of something I could do."

            "Well Uncle Fuji isn't here and it's rude to go snooping."

            "Sorry."

The girl walks off with Red following behind her curiously as Pikachu walks alongside the girl. "So what's your name?"

            "My name is Y...it's Armaillo." She says nervously.

            "Armaillo that's an odd name for a girl."

            "Is it?"

            "Yeah, but no matter. Where are we going?"

            "I'm going to the cages."

            "Cages?"

She leads Red to a large room filled with pins and cages with a number of small Pokémon sitting inside of them. As they enter Pikachu notices another Pikachu and starts playing around with it through the cages. Armaillo moves towards a cage in the back where a small brown Pokémon with spikes on its back, a short tail, and a large skull on its head with a small bone in its hand.

            "Cubone the Lonely Pokémon; This Pokémon's true face remains a mystery due to the fact it does not remove the skull covering it. The skull belongs to its dead mother and it is known to cry a mourn desperately wishing for its deceased parent." Red's Poke'dex says scanning the Pokémon.

            "What's wrong with this little guy?" Red asks looking towards Cubone.

Armaillo goes in picking up the small Cubone and showing its belly revealing a large scar across it's stomach. "Some bad people came and attacked it and it's mother before Uncle Fuji found it and brought it here."

            "Where are these bad people?" Red asks seriously.

            "The others don't want to say because they're scared of them, but the bad people are inside of Pokémon Tower. Uncle Fuji went to fight them and he hasn't come back."

            "How long ago was this?"

            "Almost two weeks now." Armaillo says seriously. "And it's been a few days since the other warrior went to save him."

            "Other warrior?"

            "Yes a young man with a Wartortle."

Red looks on seriously at the news before moving ahead. "So they're in Pokémon Tower?"

            "Yeah, you're not going out there are you?"

            "Yup, I stop bad people and I'm going to save Blue and Mr. Fuji."

Armaillo looks on trying to hold back a smile with Cubone looking out of the corner of its eye at Red. "Please save Uncle Fuji and please stop the bad people."

            "Right." Red looks on seriously with Pikachu rushing to his side. "Let's head out to Pokémon Tower!"
