Ch. 14: Clues

 

In the midst of the wilds Seva and Norman alongside their Digimon and Tolbit sit around eating the food they managed to scavenge from the supply drop.

            "So then what're we gonna do now?" Chiromon asks curiously. "I mean we don't have any clue about what to do now."

            "He's right, we need some clues." Bakemon says stretching out relaxed.

            "Yeah." Norman says thinking about things. "But that's easier said than done."

As everyone sits around Seva messes around with her Digivice before pulling up a digital map with several dots appearing on it.

            "So then, if these dots are Digimon then what're these ones." Seva says pointing at a pair of dots in the city. "There aren't any Digimon in the city right?"

            "Yeah, they have that barrier in the city so Digimon can't enter it." Tolbit says seriously. "So I have no ideas what these are."

            "They could be other Digivices." Norman says thinking about things. "I mean if these things are running off the say way they were when we were playing the game then it should have a way to find other Digivices and other players."

            "What do you mean, we're the only ones here." Seva says seriously. "The others are stuck in other worlds, that's how we got in this mess."

            "But who's to say that there aren't any other people who managed to find some Digivices?"

            "You may have a point." Seva says thinking about things. "We never really don't know if anyone else was trapped in other worlds."

            "So then what do you kids want to do?"

            "Let's find a way to break into the city." Seva says seriously. "We should do whatever we can to find everything we can use to be able to find a way to reunite with the others."

            "When your right your right." Norman says getting up. "So then where should we start?"

            "I don't know."

            "Well I might have an idea." Tolbit says jokingly. "If we're doing the impossible then I've heard a few things that might be interesting for you all."

 

A while later the group arrives to a small bunker in the middle of the forest as they look around curiously.

            "What is this?" Norman asks curiously.

            "Before they did air drops they had these bunkers that had underground tunnels to the city, but when they switched over they closed all these up and sealed them away."

            "So what do you think we can do here?" Norman asks curiously.

            "Well I was thinking you guys could smash your way though the barriers or whatever and then you can break into the city."

            "Well then let's see if that'll work." Seva stands in front of the doorway seriously with Bakemon standing in front of her. "Okay Bakemon knock it down."

            "Right."

Bakemon charges ahead towards the door tackling it and knocking the door down.

            "Well then everyone let's go on inside." Bakemon says excitedly.

            "She enjoyed that a little too much." Norman says dryly.

            "Well I'd be excited if I got to knock down a door." Chiromon says landing on Norman's head.

 

A minute later the group wanders around the tunnels looking around any sign of an exit.

            "So then how long are these tunnels?" Norman asks curiously.

            "Don't know."

            "So these empty out into the city, who's to say that they don't have people on the other side guarding it?" Seva asks curiously.

            "Well I don't know but I think you'll think of something."

            "Geez, such a responsible adult." Bakemon says jokingly.

            "No one will ever say I was responsible."

            "Yeah that's something we can't really accuse you of." Chiromon says jokingly.

As the group follow the tunnel they start hearing a far off noise.

            "What is it?" Norman asks curiously.

            "What exactly does that sound like?" Seva asks holding out her ears.

            "It sounds like flapping wings."

Suddenly a large figure rushes up towards them before landing in front of them revealing a large four armed blue bug like Digimon with a black helmet.

            "Kabuterimon, Champion  Level, Vaccine Type." Seva says scanning the Digimon. "So how are there Digimon down here?"

            "Don't know!" Tolbit yells out concerned.

            "Well it's only a Champion, we can easily take care of something like this." Norman says seriously.

            "Right, let's get ready." Seva says seriously.

            "Electro Shocker." Kabuterimon yells out.

Suddenly a blast of electricity forms on Kabuterimon's back before shooting out at the group.

            "Fireball!" Bakemon forms a ball of fire in-between it's tails before shooting it off blocking the attack.

            "Okay now Chiromon."

            "Right, Super Sonic." Chiromon gathers up energy before blasting off at Kabuterimon charging through it.

            "Finish it off, Bakemon."

            "Right, Fire Claw." Bakemon rushes towards Kabuterimon before covering it's claws in fire and slashing away at it.

Kabuterimon falls to the ground before starting to dissolve into data.

            "We did it." Norman says seriously.

            "As expected." Seva says confidently.

            "Well I have to say it wasn't all that exciting." A voice says from deeper inside the tunnel.

As the group looks ahead they see figure standing in front of them. "In fact I'd say it was rather dull."

            "What the who are you? Seva asks seriously.

            "I think this should answer whatever questions you have."

As the group looks on the figure pulls out a black Digivice and holds in front of them as they look on.

            "A Digivice." They both say in unison confused by the girl.
