Persona Survivor Ch.6

The Second Day pt.2

 

Inside of the restaurant Hiroto and Daichi sit around outside of the kitchen sitting at a large table, with Noriko, Airi, and Hanako cooking in the back. They sit around with Daichi grinning happily staring towards the back with the idea of the girls cooking.

            "Hey Ban-kun." Daichi says with a large grin. "This is amazing, you know right."

            "Um..." Hiroto says nervously.

            "I mean we have three cute babes in the kitchen cooking for us, I know a ton of guys would be jealous of us right now." Daichi says over excitedly.

            "I guess." Hiroto says nervously. "As long as the food is good."

            "Ban-kun, listen to me a ton of guys would be jumping over themselves to eat some food made by these girls."

            "Um..."

            "I've heard about Wakui-chan and Kuriki-chan before, they ranked high on the rating charts and Hanako also ranked pretty highly, that means a ton of guys are crushing on them." Daichi says seriously. "And we get to eat their cooking!"

            "Yeah I guess you could say we're lucky." Hiroto says nervously.

After a moment the girls come out with Noriko holding a large pot and Daichi looking on excitedly as Hanako and Airi take their seats placing down several bowls. Noriko places the pot taking off the lid revealing an odd purple stew with several fruits and vegetables floating around in it.

            "Um what is this?" Daichi asks nervously. "This has to be some kind of joke right?"

            "What? You don't want to eat?" Hanako asks curiously.

            "Well I do, but it looks...."

            "What did you guys do?" Hiroto asks nervously.

            "Well we started thinking about what we could cook, but after a while we decided to just do a stew." Airi says nervously. "And we thought about what would be good in a stew."

            "I wanted to add in some meat, every good meal needs some meat in it." Hanako says excitedly.

            "And I figured we'd need some nutrients like fruits and vegetables in there." Noriko says seriously. "We need to keep our health up."

Daichi and Hiroto stare at each other for a while before looking towards the girls.

            "Um, have any of you guys ever cooked before?" Daichi asks curiously.

            "No." They all say in unison.

            "Damn it." Daichi says lowering his head. "My shattered dreams."

Hiroto gets up and moves over towards the kitchen. "I'm sorry but that's not food, if you give me a minute I'll make something."

            "If you could cook why didn't you say anything before!?" Hanako yells out annoyed.

            "Um, I'll go help him out." Airi says nervously. "Maybe he'll need some help."

A while later the group sits around with a large plate of pancakes sitting in front of them as they eat happily. The group eats happily as Hiroto sits around nervously as Airi looks on him with a large grin.

            "So why didn't you say you could cook?" Hanako asks curiously.

            "Well I've never cooked for other people before." Hiroto says nervously. "It's kind of embarrassing."

            "Either way it's a handy skill, you should've spoken up sooner." Noriki says happily.

            "Hey Wakui-chan." Daichi says with a large grin. "What's with your sword, you can kill shadows with it that's pretty amazing. It must be some super rare sword right?"

            "Oh do you want to see?" Noriko asks curiously.

She tosses the sword towards Daichi, who catches it and unsheathes it looking at the metal blade before realizing something. "This is, this sword is fake!"

            "What!?" Everyone yells out confused.

            "How is this fake? I saw you kill like a ton of Shadows yesterday, how did you do it with a fake sword!?"

            "It's all mental." Noriko says seriously drinking some water. "I was able to kill them because I believed my sword was real and could cut through the Shadows."

            "Wait that's impossible." Hanako says seriously. "That's completely impossible, how could good thoughts beat those monsters."

            "Personas." Hiroto says seriously thinking about the subject. "Personas are mental projections and they can beat Shadows, so if we think that weapons could do it, it's feasible that they could destroy Shadows."

            "So then that makes this easier." Daichi says with a large grin. "Let's get us some weapons!"

            "Um, is that such a good idea?" Airi asks curiously. "Shouldn't we be trying to find a way to get out of the city, I mean..."

            "No defending ourselves should be the top priority, then we could find a way to get out of the city." Noriko says seriously.

            "Of course, if the leader says so that's good enough for me." Hanako says seriously. "But where would we find weapons?"

            "I know!" A voice says walking into the restaurant.

A boy with short blond hair in an overly large jacket walks into the restaurant with a large grin on his face. He looks on the group as they look nervously at him before he sits down at the table with the group.

            "Hello everyone!" He says excitedly.

            "Who're you?" Noriko asks seriously grabbing her sword from Daichi. "And why're you here?"

            "Oh me, my name is Adachi Ozawa, I'm a  second year but from the look of your uniforms we're not from the same school." Adachi says introducing himself to the group. "And from what you were talking about earlier it seems all of you can use Personas to."

            "You can use Persona?" Hanako asks curiously.

            "Of course, that's how I was able to survive yesterday." Adachi says happily pulling out a small knife. "Well that and these babies."

            "Babies?" Airi asks curiously.

Adachi opens up his jacket revealing a large number of knives hidden underneath before quickly closing it up. "I've been killing those blobby things all morning, so can I please have some of your pancakes?"

            "Sure." Noriko says nervously.

            "Thank you!" He yells out excitedly.

Everyone looks on as Adachi grabs a number of pancakes eating them happily as everyone looks on. "Thanks for that!"

            "Um what're you doing?" Daichi asks curiously.

            "Oh me, I've been running around trying to find people. I haven't seen anyone since those blobby things showed up and started killing people, I managed to save a few but I can't find anyone today."

            "Yeah that's weird." Daichi says seriously.

            "Okay everyone I think I know what today is going to be about." Noriko says seriously sheathing her sword. "We need to find some weapons, and we need to find out if there are any other people in the city."

As the group looks on Adachi looks back towards the window before noticing a large number of Shadows bumping up against the wall. "Well well, the blobby things have showed up."

            "Damn it, everyone get ready to fight." Noriko says gripping her sword. "Persona!"
