Ch. 45: Escape Plan

Inside the command room of the Collector Base Johanna, Verani, Qovin, and Hal fight back the Collector forces while Sharla and Bel mess around with the various terminals surrounding them rigging the place to explode.

            "I've got it." Bel says excitedly. "I can make this place explode on your command."

            "Okay then, Bel make this place blow." Johanna says seriously. "Everyone cover me, I'll alert the others."

            "Okay." Verani says seriously.

Johanna dives behind some cover and begins to mess around with her omni tool before messing with the radio.

            "This is a message to everyone in the Collector Base, we'll be exploding this place soon so everyone make it to the rendezvous point we planned earlier." Johanna says seriously over the radio. "And Johol get over there asap so we can escape."

            "Commander, there's a bit of a snag in that plan." Johol says over the radio. "Were currently being pursued by unknown forces, Grog and Rila are in the shuttle picking them off but they're still on our ass."

            "Okay, try shacking them and then get to the rendezvous point." Johanna says seriously. "We'll try and hold them off for now."

            "So then Commander what're we doing?" Bel asks curiously.

            "Can you set something up so that we can blow this place up whenever we want?" Johanna asks curiously.

            "Yeah, I can set the detonator to my omni tool and then blow it whenever we want to." Bel says seriously.

            "Okay, well do it and let's make our way to the exit while we fight off these damn bugs." Johanna says seriously.

            "Got it." Bel says seriously.

            "Commander." A voice says from over the radio covered by static.

            "What hello who is this?" Johanna asks concerned.

            "Commander this is Eights." Eights says seriously. "We've managed to uncover the secret project, it's something that could be used to connect to the remaining Reapers."

            "Okay, well do what you can to destroy it and then make your way to the exit." Johanna says seriously.

            "We've begun plans for detonation but we've been....." Eights says before the connection is cut.

            "Eights, Eights!" Johanna says seriously over the radio. "Damn, looks like something's happened to them."

            "Commander, detecting loss of Geth hardware unit." Hal says seriously.

            "What does that mean?" Verani asks curiously.

            "Well it can't be good, all we have to do is get out of here and regroup later." Johanna says seriously. "Set up that explosive now, and let's get out of here."

            "Got it Commander." Bel says seriously.

            "Okay everyone retreat." Johanna says seriously to the group.

Hearing this Johanna and the group begin rushing out of the hole created by the earlier explosion making their way down the hallway with Collector forces chasing after them.
