Ch. 24: The Guardian pt.3

In the middle of the shanty town Seva and Norman sit around in a tent alongside Tolbit as he sits around drinking from a canteen.

            "So then this is where all the people are living." Seva says looking around before peeking outside. "Looks like kind of a pit."

            "Well what did you expect it would look like, this place is where people are dumped after getting kicked out of the city, so of course it's no five star resort." Tolbit says as he puts the canteen down. "And if your story's right then that means this world's supposed to not exist right?"

            "Yeah, this world is just an offshoot of our world after Millenniummon destroyed it." Norman says explaining things. "But that doesn't explain why this world is so different."

            "Well if you're curious then let me tell you a bit of history." Tolbit says happily. "You see for as long as anyone remembers it's just been us here and any attempt to leave or communicate with the outside is blocked by some kind of data feedback."

            "So then what about the city?" Seva asks curiously.

            "Well it's also been here as long as we remember, but eventually we started losing resources and space so they has to kick people out and then made that fence to keep us out." Tolbit says seriously. "Then they made the barrier when the Digimon showed up and attacked to keep them out and then they wander around the area."

            "So then what're we going to do about our next move?" Norman asks seriously. "Our task is to stop Millenniummon, so we have to break into the city at some point so those tunnels are going to be our best shot right?"

            "Yeah, the tunnels are out best chance of breaking in and then maybe we'll be able to find something we can use to reunite with the others."

            "So then what will happen to us and our world if we happen to the people in it?" Tolbit asks seriously.

            "I honestly have no idea." Norman says seriously. "This whole stuff about multiple worlds and the like is over my head."

            "But is this world is it any better if we leave this the way it is?" Seva asks seriously. "It's best that we fix all this and just end it all so that we can get things back to normal and then we'll figure everything else out later."

            "Well you are right about that, but it's not a pleasant thought that we'll all be erased if you all manage to succeed."

            "He is right, I wouldn't like the idea of not existing no matter the reasoning." Chiromon says within the Digivice.

            "Yeah, but what kind of life is this." Bakemon says seriously. "If we leave things the way they are, everyone here will eventually run out of food and resources and then they'll all slowly die."

            "Yeah so in the end we don't have a choice, no matter what we've gotta end all this don't we?" Tolbit says seriously.

Meanwhile outside of the shanty town inside of a tree the girls sits around alongside Typhlmon as it slithers along the branch.

            "So then what do you think about those kids with those monsters?" Typhlmon asks curiously. "Do you think that they're really not a threat?"

            "They don't seem like one, but I wanna keep my eye on them just to be safe."

            "Well either way if it comes down to it we'll just destroy them like the rest."

            "Yeah." The girl says thinking about things. "But they seem different, unlike the rest of the creatures that attacked."

            "Yeah, but what did that guy call them Digimon, sounds kind of interesting it feels right." Typhlmon says happily slithering onto her leg. "I kind of like it."

            "Well either way let's just be wary of them."

Meanwhile in the sky above a Megadramon flies overhead before it bashes against the barrier above the city as Rae looks on it from a tower.

            "So then the barrier still is a hassle for my plans." Rae says seriously.

            "Well maybe we should just go around to the generators and destroy them taking this retched city." Silvemon says as it looks down on the city below. "Or I could just run across town wrecking everything."

            "No that'd be too easy, if we did that we'd put ourselves at too much risk."

            "Yeah, but all this waiting around isn't fun."

            "Also Lord Millenniummon did also instruct us to destroy any Digimon outside of our control, so then let's just send it to the forest to look for more Digivices again."

Rae directs the Megadramon towards the forest as she watches on happily.

In the shanty town Norman and Seva sit around before the Megadramon's shadow flies over head.

            "What was that?" Seva asks seriously.

            "Seems like we've got some trouble to deal with." Norman says as he rushes out of the tent.

Outside the duo find the Megadramon as it flies down and lands just outside the town roaring and creating a shockwave in the air with its roar.

            "Well this is an annoyance." Seva says as she pulls out her Digivice.

            "Oh you said it."

Meanwhile in the forest the girl watches on from the tree as Typhlmon slithers around her arm.

            "Looks like trouble." Typhlmon says seriously.

            "It is, and it's our job to take care of it."
